Vintage Vogue 2

Hello,

Although it looks nice outside its bloomin cold. Its been a busy morning for me today, I've been and done the food shopping and cleaned the house from top to bottom with the help of hubby. My few days holiday have flown by.

My youngest, who is 19 next week, is in Paris at the moment, she went this morning with her boyfriend, it was a christmas present from him. I had to laugh, I sent a text making sure she had got there ok and she told me they had but they couldn't find the hotel. Luckily they did eventually find it but couldn't check in for another 4 hours..lol Its her first time away without adult supervision so I'm expecting lots of eventful stories when she gets back on Monday.

Yesterday I told you that I was making cards from my sister's 50th birthday and here is the second one. Again it's using SU Vintage Vogue stamp set and this time I have used the wheel on the bottom of the card and embossed it with gold embossing powder.

Now its my time to chill out and I'm going to do what I love the most and thats crafting :)

Happy crafting ladies

Vintage Vogue

Hello,

I've been off work since Wednesday on leave so thought it was about time I got my act together and started on my sisters birthday cards. She is the big 50 a week on Saturday and I have to make cards for my mum, my girls to give her and ours... so 4 in total. On top of that my youngest daughters is the day after so have another 3 to make there!!!!! Now, my problem is that I've had crafting block and could not think of a single thing to do so have wasted hours just looking at my stash, getting it out, putting it back, you know what I mean don't you?

Well yesterday I finally got my act into gear and produced this card using the Vintage Vogue stamp set from SU. I just love the colours and the "50th" has been made from die cuts. I first stamped the vine image onto Very Vanilla in Old Olive so that it matched the card.

I am also planning to do her a 12x12 scrapbook as a present so wish me luck on that one. I have made 2 more cards today but will post them another time.

Thanks for stopping by.

Beware Pirates

Hello,

Thank you for stopping by and checking out what I've been up too. Yesterday I finally got to meet my "sisters" who have recently joined Team Jelly. My upliner Victoria's team is growing fast and we had our first training session yesterday. We had such fun discussing what we all want out of being a SU demo and getting to know one another. Its amazing how we all want different things yet they are all achievable. I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Remember I said I have recently held a class using the Beware Pirates stamp set? Well, I was holding off posting them as I had another class on Saturday but unfortunately it had to be cancelled so I thought I'd better post the pictures of the cards we made. As there are 6 projects I'm going to post the main picture rather than individual ones. I hope you like them, two of the cards used the brayering technique and I must say my ladies managed brilliantly with it... better than me at times...lol

You can't see it very well but on the brown map style card there is piercing in each corner of the card. All products used are from SU.

Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment as I love to read them

Fun and Fast Notes

Hey,
Remember yesterday I said I had made 2 baby cards, well I thought I'd post the 2nd one I did.

As you can see its using the image from the Fun and Fast Notes set by SU and also the Lets Party set for the balloons. It doesn't show very clearly but I used my crimper to give texture to the balloons and set them at different heights on the card. For a little bling I added some gems that are so shiney, best I've ever had. All products used were from SU.

I forgot to mention that yesterday I held my craft class and it was soooo much fun, we covered brayering and spritzing this month, I'll post picturs of what we made later in the week. Thank you ladies for coming, see you next month when we are using the Just Believe set.

Big hugs

Sab Set - Punch Bunch

Hi,
Thought I'd pop on to tell you some good news..... I'm going to be a grandma in July :-) My eldest is expecting and this will be our first grandchild. To say we were shocked at first is an understatement but now we are sooooo happy and excited that we can't wait for the happy event to come.

Last week I was asked by a friend to make a new baby card and I started to panic as I thought... "I haven't got anything that I can use..omg what shall I do?" Then I remembered a set where there was pram image, Fun and Fast Notes, so thought I'd use that one. Then, on In Love With Stamping, a brilliant website, I saw that my upliner, Victoria had made a fab baby card using the SAB set. I hadn't realised this stamp was in the set as I'd only just got it so I ended up making the card using this stamp and here it is:

I also did one with the fun and fast set which I'll post later. My friend ended up having both of them. She couldn't choose which one she liked the most so took both, one for her and one for her mum.

Right off to sort Sunday lunch out, got the girls coming so full house today.

Enjoy the rest of your day

Balloon Card

Its a quick post from me today. I decided to make a card without stamping for once, well other than the sentiment that is. When promoting the ornament punch at christmas to my ladies I was saying that it wasn't just a bauble punch but a balloon, fish, vase etc. So I decided make a card to demonstrate this and here it is

I've used papers from Blueberry Crisp and made the basket out of Chocolate Chip and Pacific Point c/s. The decorative edge was created using the boarder punch and the "sand bags" by wrapping linen thread around tiny pieces of card covered in glue. The "ribbon" was made from Pacific Point c/s and the sentiment from Oval all stamp set.

I hope you like what I've done and thanks for looking

Happy New Year

I know we are on day 3 of 2011 but better late than never....haha. I hope everyone had a good new year and that 2011 will be a good one for you. Me I spent New Years eve with my lovely hubby and then on New Years day had my family round for a bite to eat. It was a very pleasant evening I must say.

Today I have taken my decorations down in readiness for me going back to work tomorrow. My house looks so much bigger and cleaner..lol I have also had time to make a few Thank You cards in readiness for my January class. For once I have completed all of the projects in plenty of time now all I need to do is type up the instructions.

For these cards I have used Sweet Summer set from the Sale a Bration promotion that SU are currently running. I have stamped the images in Basic Black and, using the SU markers, coloured the images in Daffodil Delight and Wild Wasabi. I've added pearls to the centre of the flowers. The sentiment is from Curly cute set from the current catalogue

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and have a peek
