Hubby's Birthday

Its a bit misty at the moment but it looks like the sun is trying to break through the clouds so hopefully it will be a lovely day.  Dean and I went out last night with my wonderful friend Victoria and her hubby James.  We had a bite to eat before we went to see Mickey Flanagan, someone we'd never heard of but was assured by Victoria that he was a great comedian.  Well, to say we had a fab night was an understatement.  Mickey was just fantastic and the company we were in were just as good so thank you Victoria and James.

Now one of the reasons for the outing was to celebrate two birthdays, hubby's today and Victoria's 40th tomorrow.  So I'm going to show you one of the 3 cards I made for hubby, you'll have to wait for the other two...haha.  This is the one I sent him....

All procducts used are Stampin'Up! and the colour combo is Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze and Marina Mist and was chosen using the Colour Coach.  The sentiment is from a level 3 hostess set, brads from the Hodgepodge kit and various punches were used.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day

21st Birthday card and Make a monster

What a lovely weekend I've had.  It started on Friday night when my girls came for tea.  Nikki was with Lee and Kirsty was on her own as she'd been away all week at her boyfriends so it was nice to see her.  Then on Saturday I went to Victoria's for a card class in the afternoon and then to our neighbours daughters 21st birthday bash.  Again Nikki and Lee tagged along although Nikki was in some discomfort so we didn't stay too late.  Then on Sunday we had visitors for lunch, yeah you've guessed it was Nikki and Lee again....anyone would think she'd moved back home...lol.  Seriously though it was lovely to see them and do things as we don't see them much in the week due to work etc.

Its a week of birthdays for me, it started yesterday with our neighbours daughters, todays is Lee's, tomorrow our friends daughters, Wednesday is Deans and Thursday is Victoria's, I'm gonna be all crafted out by the weekend...lol   So with so many cards to make and show this week I've treated you today as I'm posting not one, but  2 cards, one is the 21st I made and the other is for Lee.

For this one I used the following SU products: Pretty in Pink, Early Espresso and Whisper White card, Early Espresso ink and ribbon, crimper, decorative corner, round scallop  and boarder punches and brad.
From my own stash the numbers were diecut using the bigshot.

All the products on this card were from stamping up - the colour combo is Daffodil Delight, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White and Real Red.  The brad is from the hodgepodge kit and the stamps used were Make a Monster and Party This Way.  The ribbon was initially marina mist stripped but I used the Not Quite Navy ink pad and dyed it, looks quite good eh?

Sorry its been quite a long post but I hope you've enjoyed looking at my creations.

Varsity Alphabet stamp set

Good morning everyone, what a glorious day we have, mind you its been a lovely week really, lets hope its here to stay.   Well this week has got better for me.  Had a bit of a health scare last week but, having been to the hospital yesterday, everything is fine and I'm ok which was a major relief to both me and my husband so its onwards and upwards.

Its my daughters partners birthday on Monday, along with about 3 others next week, and she wanted me to make his card.  Now this isn't just any ordinary card, oh no Nikki can't be that easy to please...lol, it had to be one from the baby she is carrying.  Luckily she had uploaded some scan pictures onto my lappy so I was able to print one off and work with that and here is what I came up with.

I've used all Stampin' Up! products (except the scan pic of course, don't think they provide them yet...haha)  The letters were made using the lovely Varsity Alphabet Stamp set.  The colour combo was chosen by using the Colour Coach, however, I had to cheat a bit as I was meant to use Riding Hood Red but, as I've run out, I've had to use Cherry Cobbler instead.  Still I think it goes very well with the Not Quite Navy and Crumb Cake.  I've also used the Spiral boarder punch and little hearts punch along with Curley Cute stamp set and Not Quite Navy and Whisper White ink.  I hope she likes it.

Right off to make brunch for me and hubby as we are both on leave at the moment so, whilst he's in the garden enjoying the sunshine I'll be in the kitchen cooking.   Mmmm something not quite right there...haha

If you visit please leave a comment as I really enjoy reading them.

Take care and hugs

Scrapbook pages

Remember in February when I said it was my sister's 50th birthday and I was doing her a scrapbook as a pressie, well...... I've finally finished it.  I did give it to her on the day but left the last page blank so I could end it with the last page actually being the day of her 50th.  We were all meant to be going out for a meal as her big day fell on a Saturday, perfect.  However, things didn't actually go to plan and poor Teresa was ill and so the meal had to be postponed.  We eventually went out about a fortnight later and had a really nice curry.   A good time was had by all and I've never seen my eldest eat so much, mind you she is eating for 2 lol.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my blog.  Please leave a comment as I'd like to know who's popped on :)

Leeds swaps

Hello everyone,

It really doesn't seem like its been over a week since I was last here... where is 2011 going.  My eldset went for her 20 weeks scan on Friday and so we got to see some more pics of the baby.  Can't wait for July when baby arrivess :)

Yesterday I went to Leeds for Stampin' Ups! regional training and it was blast.   Travelling with me was my upliner, Victoria and two of my "sisters" in team Jelly, Shazza and Sandrina.  It was great to see some demo's from previous meetings and I got some gorgeous swaps as usual, there are some very talented ladies out there.

My swaps involved using the Just Believe and En Francoise stamp sets and I did two different styles and colourways.  Like a fool I didn't take a picture of the finished products so ended up making one more of each today so I could show you what they looked like.... lol

The first one is using Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla cardstock, crumb cake ink, pretty in pink and early espresso marker pens and pretty in pink ribbon.
The second one I used pretty in pink, wild wazzabi and very vanilla cardstock plus wild wazzabi  ink.
As you can see 3 different  styles of oval punches were used as well as the corner rounder and boarder punch.  All products are SU.

Thank you for looking and please leave a comment
