Wow, where does the time go, it doesn't seem 5 minutes since I last posted.  I really need to keep on my toes...lol.  Well as you may have gathered its been a busy time for me lately especially at work so I've been coming home and just flaking out.  On top of that I've had cards to make and swaps to do so its a good job I love crafting and especially with SU products, to me there are no other products to work with :)

So, last month it was my sister's wedding anniversary and I had to do 2 cards, one from us and one from my mum.  Not only was it their wedding anniversary but it was also my brother in laws birthday as well, I'll show you that card another day.

So the  first \i made was for mum.  At the last training day with Jules we were given in our pack the Paper Daisies.  It was nice as I didn't have these so I thought I'd use them for this occasion.  The colour combination is Lucky Limeade, Whisper White and Real Red.  I inked around the the edge of the daisies to soften them on the card.  The background was stamped in Lucky Limeade using Bordering on Romance which is available from the Summer mini that is only available until the end of August and we cannot guarantee it being in the new catalogue so if you like it then don't be disappointed and order it today.

Now the shape of the top layer was made using the  Edgelits Dies and Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, again available in the Summer mini only until the end of August.  Other elements also used on this card are, Lucky Limeade ribbon, Modern Label and the sentiment is from the stamp set Just Believe.  As you can see I've used the small Silver brads to attach the sentiment and an Antique Brad for the centre of the flower, I just lovvveeee these brads, don't you?

Shades of Blue....

Over at Less is More the challenge this week is, as the title suggests, shades of blue.  So I thought I would give it a try, especially as I needed to make a card for  my sister in law.  She has had an operation today so I thought it would be a nice surprise for her to receive a card to let her know we were all thinking about her. 

For this card I have used Baja Breeze, Pacific Point and Night of Navy inks, Night of Navy and Whisper White card stock, Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon and Pearls.  The stamp sets used were Just Believe and Curvy Verses.

I sent it so she received it yesterday and was delighted with it.   Last we heard was she was still in theatre so am waiting for an update, hubbys just txt his brother so hopefully we won't have to wait much longer.

Leeds swaps

Hello everyone,

It really doesn't seem like its been over a week since I was last here... where is 2011 going.  My eldset went for her 20 weeks scan on Friday and so we got to see some more pics of the baby.  Can't wait for July when baby arrivess :)

Yesterday I went to Leeds for Stampin' Ups! regional training and it was blast.   Travelling with me was my upliner, Victoria and two of my "sisters" in team Jelly, Shazza and Sandrina.  It was great to see some demo's from previous meetings and I got some gorgeous swaps as usual, there are some very talented ladies out there.

My swaps involved using the Just Believe and En Francoise stamp sets and I did two different styles and colourways.  Like a fool I didn't take a picture of the finished products so ended up making one more of each today so I could show you what they looked like.... lol

 

The first one is using Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla cardstock, crumb cake ink, pretty in pink and early espresso marker pens and pretty in pink ribbon.
The second one I used pretty in pink, wild wazzabi and very vanilla cardstock plus wild wazzabi  ink.
As you can see 3 different  styles of oval punches were used as well as the corner rounder and boarder punch.  All products are SU.

Just Believe Class

Well its been a funny old week with ups and downs both in and out of work. Unfortunately the downs have outweighed the ups for some reason so lets hope next week is a better one :)

If today is anything to go by it will be. It was my monthly class and I had soooo much fun. For once I didn't actually "craft" with the ladies, instead I was the gofer and waitress and thoroughly enjoyed it as, in between "duties" I was able to watch everyone and could see how much they have progressed over the last few months from having to be shown step by step to just getting on with it now (with a little help here and there...lol) Well done ladies, you are all stars.

Well the theme for this months class was the Just believe stamp set from SU. I absolutely loved working with this set and enjoyed every minute of designing the cards and 3d project. I even treated the ladies to a large cadbury's egg to go in the basket, they were thrilled.

Actually I've just realised that one card is missing from the main image and this is it doh :

In total we did 7 projects and the products usesd were all stampin' up!. The colours were crumb cake, early espresso, wild wazzabi, pretty in pink, basic black, very vanilla and whisper white.
At our class next month the ladies want to try something different and have decided they want to have a go at scrapbook pages, so watch out for those. If you would like to come to one of my classes drop me a e-mail and I'll get back to you with the details.

Just Believe pt 2

Wow where does the time go, we're nearly half way through February already. So much has happened since I was last on. I helped Victoria out with her all day class at Somercoates on the 29th and we had a blast as always. Below are some of the pictures I took on the day.

As well as the all dayer we had my sister's 50th and my youngest's 19th birthdays last weekend plus I helped Victoria at her craft sale. I have made sooo many things that I don't know where to start with my posts so will show you the one I did for my eldest to give to my sister for her birthday.


I love these colours together, pear pizzazz and concord crush from the in colour range. The certainly celery ribbon goes great with these colours as well.

Just Believe

Well its nearly 2011 so I thought I'd better pop on and update you on what I've been doing.... which isn't a lot really as I was working up until 3pm Christmas eve... bummer. Still one good thing is it was my sisters turn to cook Christmas lunch so had a really relaxing day. Then in the evening all the family gathered at my mums and we exchanged even more pressie it truly was a wonderful day, one of the best I've had for a long time.

I got some fantastic pressies too off my family. Here's few of the things I got: off Dean I got a new lappy, my favourite perfume, Nicola was more perfume (do you think they're trying to tell me something...lol) tickets to see Lee Evans in September 2011, Kirsty a new watch, earrings and lots lots more. I was sooo spoiled. Its good to have such a loving family and a added bonus to have good friends as well.

Anyway, below is a card I made my mum for her birthday at the beginning of the month. The technique used is brayering and I just love the way the card turned out. It was thanks to my upliner, Victoria, that I conquered the brayering technique as she sent me a great video on it, thanks Victoria



All products used are SU and the stamp set is Just Believe.
