Birthday card for Brother in law

Hello everyone,

What a mix bag of weather we've had this weekend, one minute its raining the next beautiful sunshine and blue skies... weird.   Mind you I do like the way the nights are staying lighter longer.... won't be long til summer...yay

Well yesterday evening we went to see hubbys brother as it was his birthday.  As usual I was last minute.com in making the card.  I did actually start it on Friday but didn't finish it until 6.15pm last night and we went out at 6.30... i know cutting it fine but thats me...haha.  Anyway I think he liked it.

I used early espresso as the base card and woodland walks DSP.  the main image is from the punch bunch SAB set that ends tomorrow.  I have used the sentiment from Sincere salutations stamp set, I think this is such an elegant set.  The "branches" are punched out using the 2 step bird punch.

My next project is to do a baby card for a friend and then finish off my sisters scrapbook, now we have been out for her meal I can do the last page.  I hope to show you some of them soon.

Thanks for looking

Just Believe Class

Well its been a funny old week with ups and downs both in and out of work. Unfortunately the downs have outweighed the ups for some reason so lets hope next week is a better one :)

If today is anything to go by it will be. It was my monthly class and I had soooo much fun. For once I didn't actually "craft" with the ladies, instead I was the gofer and waitress and thoroughly enjoyed it as, in between "duties" I was able to watch everyone and could see how much they have progressed over the last few months from having to be shown step by step to just getting on with it now (with a little help here and there...lol) Well done ladies, you are all stars.

Well the theme for this months class was the Just believe stamp set from SU. I absolutely loved working with this set and enjoyed every minute of designing the cards and 3d project. I even treated the ladies to a large cadbury's egg to go in the basket, they were thrilled.

Here is a picture of the complete class

Actually I've just realised that one card is missing from the main image and this is it doh :

In total we did 7 projects and the products usesd were all stampin' up!. The colours were crumb cake, early espresso, wild wazzabi, pretty in pink, basic black, very vanilla and whisper white.
At our class next month the ladies want to try something different and have decided they want to have a go at scrapbook pages, so watch out for those. If you would like to come to one of my classes drop me a e-mail and I'll get back to you with the details.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and please leave a comment as, not only do I enjoy reading them, but I know you have paid me a visit :)

Fun and Fast notes

Where has the weekend gone? It only seems like yesterday when it was Friday. Well we went out for a meal with all the family on Saturday night and had a really nice time. Then yesterday I had a chilled out day, mind you the less you do the less you want to do don't you think?

I recently had a request to make a card for an office where someone was leaving to have a baby. The trouble is I got asked when I got home from work at gone 5 and they wanted it that night. So this is what I came up with. I've used the Fun and Fast notes set

They wanted a big card so that everyone could sign it (about 40 in the office) so what I did was concertina 3 cards together and put 2 inserts in, plenty of room for good luck wishes.
Thanks for looking.

Lily card and box

I was recently asked to make a card for my friends mums 60th birthday. Now the instructions I got were she liked freesia's, lillies and meerkats, not much of a mix eh?

Well I decided to go with the lillies theme and came up with this card. I made the lillies myself and used So Saffron and Certainly Celery c/s.  I got the Lily tutorial off a lady on ILWS.  To see how the Lily is made please visit Peg's blog here and look under tutorials

I then thought it wouldn't fit in an envelope so made this box with an acetate window so my friends mum could appreciate the card without having to take it out of the box.

When she saw it she loved it and I have now been commisioned to make another one for my friends partners mum's birthday in April.

Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy seeing my creations. All products used were stampin up.

Valentine's Day surprise

Well we all know that yesterday was valentines day. Well I made my lovely hubby a card on Sunday night and left it for him to open when he got up at 4.30am on Monday morning. This is the one I made for him and used the hostess set punch potpourri.

I didn't really expect one back so was pleasently surprised when I got home to an envelope on my crafting desk. When I opened it I got the shock of my life, it was a handmade valentines card from hubby and here it is below :)

Now my hubby has never crafted in his life so I think he did a fantastic job don't you? When I questioned him on if he had really done it he had a confession to make... our eldest had picked him up from work at 2 (she wanted to borrow his hedgecutters...lol) and, when they got home and she saw my card she asked him if he had got me one, which he hadn't obviously. So she made him go on the internet, find a picture, print it out and then do the rest once she found him a card to put it on.... how sweet is that? Out of all the brought cards I've had off him in the past this is by far the most treasured one.

I'll have him enrolled in my crafting class in no time....haha

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. Please leave a comment as I love to read them

Sab Set - Punch Bunch

Quick post from me as preparing dinner ready for Nik and Lee to arrive. What a miserable dull day is it today, totally different from yesterday. Still at least its not raining...yet...haha. I've been and treated myself to a little storage unit for my punches as I was fed up of them falling all over the place and looking untidy. At this rate I'll be taking over the whole of the conservatory. Hubby keeps trying to get me into the spare room but the view isn't as nice so he's got no chance.

As well as it being my sister's birthday last week it was also my youngest's so I did the following card for her. Mum gave her this one from the Punch Bunch set, I love this little cheeky chappie and can't wait to get the owl punch in the April mini :)

Greenhouse Garden

Hello again,

What a busy day I've had. Just the boring stuff really that you don't do in the week as you're at work. I often wonder where all the bloomin dust comes from...lol Tonight we have Nikki and Lee coming for tea and then again lunch tomorrow - a proper family weekend. Her bump is getting bigger now, I just hope the little one likes chilli and garlic bread...lol

Well I said I would be back with another creation that I did for my sisters 50th last weekend, well here it is. This one was mum's card as she liked the quirkyness of it. Its call a venetian card and I can't remember where I got the idea from but it wasn't mine so apologise to the lady who designed it first.

Obviously the paperclip isn't part of the card but I needed something to keep it open long enough to take the picture. I had fun making it and hope you like it too.

Materials were all SU except the die cut numbers and letters.

Just Believe pt 2

Wow where does the time go, we're nearly half way through February already. So much has happened since I was last on. I helped Victoria out with her all day class at Somercoates on the 29th and we had a blast as always. Below are some of the pictures I took on the day.
This was the hall before everyone arrived

This is as everyone arrived

The next two show the ladies crafting

As well as the all dayer we had my sister's 50th and my youngest's 19th birthdays last weekend plus I helped Victoria at her craft sale. I have made sooo many things that I don't know where to start with my posts so will show you the one I did for my eldest to give to my sister for her birthday.

I love these colours together, pear pizzazz and concord crush from the in colour range. The certainly celery ribbon goes great with these colours as well.

Thanks for looking, will pop back tomorrow to post some more pictures
