Yesterday I posted the cards that daughter, grandson and sister had done for my hubby's birthday and today I'm going to show you the one I managed to do for our youngest daughter to give him. As I have already said, he is an avid gardener, so I thought I'd try and do another one on the theme of gardening and this is the end result....

I created the basket by using the round punch and cutting a bit away from it, the handle was made by punching out a section from where I had just punched the round shape from.  I then used tiny strips of chocolate chip card to create the lattice effect on the front.  The fruit is from the fruit and flowers set with the apple stamp making the background by using daffodil delight ink onto daffodil delight card.  The little fork and spade were made using the smallest oval punch, cutting it in half and then cutting some off from around the sides and the handles were made using the word window punch.  The happy birthday was from party this way and the dad from the for my family stamp set.

Right now we have Lee's cards out of the way I am going to post the ones Dean received for his birthday last Friday. Now my lovely hubby has two passions in his life, well after me he does, and those are playing BF2 with his friends on his pc and gardening. Now in the past I have done cards with the pc in mind so I wanted to do something different this year so I thought I'd do one on gardening.  I started thumbing through the catty to see if any of the stamp sets I had would help and inspire me with this and came across Button Buddies that has a snail image in it plus other images I could use, so this is what I came up with:

I think its quite a quirky card and really enjoyed making it.  All the images are stamped onto whisper white card and whisper white ink was used to stamp the sentiment.  The tree is from the set Easy Events and I used the marker pens to colour the tree and omit the sentiment below it.  The "apples" are from the fruit and flowers set and the pumpkin  from Button Buddies.

I was quite pleased with the outcome and it brought a smile to hubbys face when he opened it which is the most important thing.  Tomorrow I'll be back with the one Nicola gave her dad and Leo gave his grandad.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like what I've done.
