Happy mothers day to everyone, hope you are all being spoilt rotten :) I know I have been with the cards and gifts I've received from my lovely hubby and daughters.
Well I got up today and remembered that I hadn't done my mums card, I know what a plonker. Luckily I had an idea in my head but couldn't use the SU embossing folder I really wanted to as its still in transit and won't be here until Tuesday so pretty difficult don't you think? So I settled for the next best thing and used one from my own stash. I ran it through the big shot and hey presto a lovely embossed piece of Whisper White card.
Now, when we were at Leeds training the other week, we were given the opportunity to "play" with the big shot and some of the new dies from the mini catalogue. I fortunately chose the butterfly embosslits die on pg 9 to practice with so had them already cut out ( this is another item in transit, can't you tell I'm very organised...lol) so decided to use them on the card as well. The colour combo is Whisper White and Pretty in Pink along with the Rhinestone Jewels. The sentiment is from Occasional Greetings and is stamped in Melon Mambo.
I just love the way this picture shows the depth of detail on the butterflies, the sign of a good quality die.
I'm off to enjoy the rest of my day and a glass of wine. Thanks for visiting and take care. I'd love it if you left a comment, good or bad :)
Hugs

Double tri-shutter card
It was my good friend, and upliner, Victoria's birthday on Thursday and she turned 40 so I wanted to do a special card for her so decided to do a double tri shutter card AKA Tri shutter album. I got the instructions from Scrapthat's blog and they are so easy to follow. I didn't take it round until yesterday as she had a "family" day on Thursday, and with the launch of the mini taking precedence yesterday, haven't posted it until now. The card is very very long to say the least and so I tried to take a picture using my panoramic setting on the camera. Now I have used this setting before and got excellent results but did that happen this time.... oh no and I didn't realise until I looked at it last night so it was too late to take another. Never mind you'll get the gist of how it should look ...lol
For this card I have used Perfect Plum 12x12, Sahara Sand and Early Espresso card stock, Woodland Walk DSP, Just Believe, Vintage Vogue, Occasional Greetings, Silhouette Sentiments (hostess set), Curvey Verses and Greenhouse Garden stamp sets, round scallop and boarder punches, very vanilla ribbon, crimper, paper from the subtle paper stack, white gel pen, Stampin write markers and basic pearls jewels.
As you can see a lot of products were used to make this card all of which are SU. If you would like to purchase any please contact me. You can browse both the mini and main catalogue by clicking on the pictures on the right hand side of my blog.
Thank you for stopping by and please leave a comment as its nice to know who's popped in for a peek.

What a week...
Phew, I hope the worst is over. Got rushed into hospital last week and ended up having surgery on Thursday. Hopefully I'm on the road to recovery now, fingers crossed. Needless to say I haven't done much crafting lately, I'm just glad I got the wedding card done early, but here are a few of the cards I have managed to make.

Thanks for stopping by and having a look

Hello everyone,
What a wet week its been, I think I'm going to need a canoe to get to work soon if the rain keeps coming. I hope it clears up for next week as both hubby and I are off work and we are at a wedding on the 19th, so keep your fingers crossed.
I've decided to join in a couple of challanges to inspire me as I'm in one of those zones where my mojo has packed its bags and gone on holiday..lol Here are the cards I've made so far, I'm hoping to join in a few more as the week goes on.

For this one I've used all SU products apart from the little gems at the bottom. The centre image is punched out using the scolloped boarder punch and I've rolled over the white flowers from the pretties kit to give them some colour. The stamp set used is Occasional Greetings
Challanges are:
Mojo Monday - Sketch
Pollycraft - Ribbons and bling
Cupcake Crafts - Dazzle us
Little paper shop - Colours red, yellow and blue

Again all SU products with the image coming from True Friends stamp set
The challanges I'm joining in with are:
Crafty Angels - favourite stamp
Spoonful full of Sugar - Floral
Kaboodle Doodles - 3 papers, 2 Embelishments and 1 image
Thanks for looking
Hugs
