Hello,
I'm just taking some time out from preparing my January class to quickly post and say "Hi". I'm trying to start the new year by being prepared in advance, I wonder how long that will last mmmmmmmm.
This card is another one I did for my mum at the beginning of the month. I've used the Ornate Flowers stamp set. I have recently treated myself to the full set of Stampin' Up! markers so thought I'd try them out with this card. I used Garden Green and Regal Rose for the flowers and stamped onto So Saffron cardstock and mounted this onto Chocolate Chip and Regal Rose. I've also used the scalloped boarder punch on the longer pieces of card. The sentiment is from Occasional Quotes which is a level 3 hostess set.
Thank you for stopping by.
Hugs

Just Believe
Well its nearly 2011 so I thought I'd better pop on and update you on what I've been doing.... which isn't a lot really as I was working up until 3pm Christmas eve... bummer. Still one good thing is it was my sisters turn to cook Christmas lunch so had a really relaxing day. Then in the evening all the family gathered at my mums and we exchanged even more pressie it truly was a wonderful day, one of the best I've had for a long time.
I got some fantastic pressies too off my family. Here's few of the things I got: off Dean I got a new lappy, my favourite perfume, Nicola was more perfume (do you think they're trying to tell me something...lol) tickets to see Lee Evans in September 2011, Kirsty a new watch, earrings and lots lots more. I was sooo spoiled. Its good to have such a loving family and a added bonus to have good friends as well.
Anyway, below is a card I made my mum for her birthday at the beginning of the month. The technique used is brayering and I just love the way the card turned out. It was thanks to my upliner, Victoria, that I conquered the brayering technique as she sent me a great video on it, thanks Victoria
All products used are SU and the stamp set is Just Believe.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I'll be back later with some chrimbo cards I made.
Hugs

Rain at last....
Yay its raining and the snow is starting to disappear. Well my week off has been a washout regarding getting my christmas shopping done. If we get up early enough tomorrow, and the roads remain clear, we might venture out to try and find some pressies. I was meant to be helping my upliner, Victoria, at a craft fair tomorrow but she had to call it off due to the weather. Still, something to look forward to at a later date
Now for another card. I did this one as a convention swap. Boy did it take ages to make 25 of them as the card invovled the masking technique and all the images and pieces were stamped indiviually. It was heartbreaking when I made a mistake right at the end of the card and had to start again. Luckily this only happened about 3 times...phew.
The stamp set, Make a Monster, is a new one in the current SU catty and such fun to work with. All materials used were SU and consisted of the following:
Very Vanilla, Real Red and Tempting Turquoise card
Inks - Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, More Mustard, Elegant Eggplant, Garden Green and Rose Red.
Scalloped Edged boarder punch and word window punch
Thanks for taking time to look at my blog.

November christmas class
Hello everyone,
Brrr how cold is it? I am so glad I picked this week to have as annual leave... I detest driving in snow so couldn't have timed it better. Whats even better is that hubby is off as well so, if there's any driving to be done he can do it...haha
Well, what a busy time its been for me, hence not posting for ages. I am now back at work full time and boy is it busy. I have also been to the SU convention in London at the beginning of November and it was a fab experience. I met a fantastic bunch of ladies, received some great swaps and had a few days away from the family. It was inspiring to hear of the other demo's success and how they acheived it, thank you all.
Now for my November class. It was another christmas theme and I had a blast. The class was small but I find that much better as I can focus my attention on my ladies who are just starting out as crafters but they always give 100% in everything they try.
The stamp set used was Contempo Christmas with the matching punch and wheel. The class should have lasted 2 1/2 hours but turned into 4, so you can tell what fun we had. I had to laugh at my sister in law. I'm sure she won't mind me telling you she hates cutting out so had a "fit" when we had to cut out the tiny trees... she made us laugh sooooo much our sides hurt, thanks Steph. All the items used are SU.
I will be posting more pictures over the next few days both of cards I've made and of the garden covered in snow, it looks so pretty.
Thank you for taking the time to visit and read my blog.
Big warm hugs
