Jules training day

Well I've just got back from Jules training day in Leeds and to say it was fabulous is an understatement.  The day kicked off at 10am with everyone arriving, getting their goody bags and being given time to do their swaps.  Now I must say the standard of the swaps was fantastic so thank you ladies : ).

Next it was time to furtle in our bags to see what goodies were in there and boy was it VFM.  We had a pack of chipboard letters, a kit to do a scrapbook, brads, buttons and cello bags for our card projects to go in.  On top of that Jules let us loose on her ink, stamps and her ribbon.  It was the first time I had seen the seam binding ribbon and, I can't say I wasn't tempted to let slip into my bag her Pear Pizzaz, but I resisted temptation and thought " think of your sales and order it yourself"  So thats what I'm going to do.

Jules then did a little training session on the mini and the products in them.   She gave some good tips and advice on ways to promote the big shot and all the other products in it.  Before lunch we got to make our scrapbook page.  Ok so who goes to a scrapbook class without any pictures?  Yes you've guessed it, moi, so I'm going to have to show you the page at a later date when its finished.

Following this session we then had the most scrumptious lunch and a cupcake for dessert ( I brought mine home for DD)  After lunch Jules spoke about scrapbook classes and cost etc so that those wanting to branch into this area had some insight into how to go about it.  I found this really useful information as I've recently started scrapbook classes.

We then went on to make our final project.  This comprised of making 5 completely different cards and on every card we had something that had involved using the big shot.   These cards were then put in the cello bags and secured together using a topper (sorry Jules I can't remember what you called this project)  I loved this project and will show you the finished project another day but for now here are 3 of the cards made today:

On top of this I met some new friends, learnt new techniques, had a great laugh and helped Victoria get over her fear, to some extent, of motorway driving.  So I'd like to thank Victoria for driving us there without giving me too many grey hairs, Julie for her company on the journey as well and to Jules for the training.  I'm already looking forward to the next one.

Thanks for looking and please leave a comment
